The fire alarm was triggered yesterday after school, leaving all of West standing outside in the rain.
According to principal Kaine Osburn, the alarm that went off around 3:45 p.m. was an accident.
“The alarm went off due to human error. The building was evacuated as it should be when an alarm goes off,” Osburn said.
The unexpectedness of the situation left people unprepared.
“We were in the pool, and the coach made us come out. He told us to change into our gym pants and stuff so we could go outside,” sophomore Matt Lefler said.
