At the start of the 2018-2019 school year, Principal Jason Ness has made the decision to return to the position of D219’s school psychologist. This is following six years of his role as the principal of Niles West.
“I have learned so much over this time from our students, their families, and from so many faculty and staff members and administrators. My key priority over this time has been to do everything I can to make Niles West a better place for students to learn every day,” Ness stated in an email sent to West students. “I truly believe that we have made progress in helping our students feel that they belong here at Niles West, that we value them as learners and care about them as people, and that we want to offer every support possible to make them productive members of the larger world community.”
Ness hopes to continue to prioritize the well-being of all the students and continue to serve D219 families as the psychologist. He hopes to end the year with a focus on the students’ education.
